Risks Of Incomplete Treatment
Need to complete treatment? Please click here for a dental consultation.
Occasionally, patients begin their dental treatment with another dentist and then stop partway through their treatment plan. They never realize all the risks that may occur due to incomplete treatment!
The reasons for a halt in dental treatment vary from dental anxiety to lack of dental insurance, procrastination to getting busy with work or even with family issues. Sometimes, it is because the patients are not happy with their current dentist or are not comfortable with the treatment recommendations and they simply have no interest in going back to that same dentist.
Whatever your reason, if you have dental work that you need completed, we are here to help you! We offer gentle dental care, as well as sedation dentistry (laughing gas, oral sedation, and IV sedation).
Over the years, we’ve helped a number of patients get back on the track to good dental health. The most common types of incomplete dental treatments that we’ve seen include incomplete crowns and bridges and root canals.
If a root canal isn’t completed, it can lead to extensive decay, abscess, and even tooth loss. And temporary crowns or bridges left in place too long can lead to bacterial growth, harm to the remaining tooth structure, and irritation or injury to the gums.
Don’t risk losing money and time that you’ve already invested in your dental health – let’s move forward together!
Call to schedule your dental consultation. During your consult we can talk about what’s been done, along with your best options for moving forward.
