Types of Sedation For Dentistry

JANUARY SPECIAL: FREE SEDATION – During the month, we are offering free sedation to all new patients. Some restrictions apply.  Call our dental office for more info and mention “Free Sedation Offer,” (303) 323-8149.

Thanks to the major advancements in sedation dentistry, a trip to the dentist can be a relaxed, comfortable experience. Whether you have fear and anxiety about just walking into a dental office or you need sedation dentistry in order to have extensive procedures or dental surgery performed, we have a variety of options available for you.

In our Lone Tree dental office, we offer a number of different types of sedation dentistry.

Nitrous Oxide Sedation Dentistry – Better known as “laughing” gas, nitrous oxide is known to help you relax during your visit to the dentist. Typically, it’s used in conjunction with Novocain (a numbing agent).  In fact, we even offer this option for pediatric dentistry. Nitrous oxide is a gentle option for both children and adults with little to no side effects.

Oral Sedation Dentistry – Thanks to oral sedation dentistry, you can take a pill and “sleep” through your visit to the dentist, with little or no memory of your appointment afterward. In actuality, you are conscious throughout the procedure, but comfortable and relaxed, with an hour passing as if it were a minute. Throughout your visit, we monitor your pulse, blood pressure, and oxygen levels to ensure your safety.

IV Sedation Dentistry – A nurse anesthetist with more than 25 years experience administers general anesthesia through an IV in your arm. Throughout your entire visit, we monitor your pulse, blood pressure, and oxygen levels to ensure your safety.

In your free dental consultation, one of our sedation dentists – Dr. O’Leary or Dr. Peppler – will be happy to thoroughly explain all of the sedation dentistry options, talk about how sedation is administered, help ease your nerves about sedation, and assist you with finding the type that is right for you.

Please contact us here at (303) 323-8149 or e-mail contact@sedationdentistdenverco.com in order to schedule your appointment.
