Would you prefer to be sedated at your next dental visit, and after your appointment is over, have little, or possibly even no memory, of it?

Here is how oral sedation dentistry works: You take a pill before your dental treatment, and when you “wake up”, your dental procedure will have been completed! Throughout your entire dental treatment, we monitor your pulse, blood pressure, and oxygen levels to ensure your safety.

Oral sedation dentistry (also known as “conscious sedation” could be a great option if you…
…are nervous about going to the dentist
…have difficulty getting numb at the dentist
…have a severe gag reflex or TMJ issues
…would like to have extensive dental work completed in one visit (like a smile makeover!)
…have sensitive gums or teeth
…have an aversion to needles
…are looking for an alternative to laughing gas (oral sedation vs laughing gas)

Note if you decide to choose this type of sedation dentistry, you will need someone to pick you up after your dental appointment and then stay with you at home for two to four hours to assist you, because of the sedative effects of the pill.

Along with oral sedation, we also offer IV sedation and laughing gas (nitrous oxide).  If you’re not sure which type of sedation would be best for you, we can talk through your options in detail. Oral sedation vs. IV sedation often depends on the procedure and your level of dental anxiety.

Let us assist you with the next step towards your dental heath.
