Oral Sedation Dentistry ~ Conscious Sedation
JULY SPECIAL: FREE SEDATION – This month, we are offering free sedation to all our new patients. Some restrictions apply…please call our office for more details and mention “Free Sedation Offer,” (303) 790-2323.
Would you prefer to “sleep” through your entire next dental visit and have the reduced stress of waking up afterward with little or possibly even no memory of your procedure?
Here’s how oral sedation dentistry works: You take a pill before your dental treatment, and when you wake up, your dental procedure is completed, without any anxiety. Throughout your entire dental treatment, we monitor your pulse, blood pressure, and oxygen levels to best ensure your top safety.
Oral sedation dentistry (also known as “sleep dentistry” and “conscious sedation”) could be a great option if you…
…are nervous about going to the dentist
…have difficulty getting numb at the dentist
…have a severe gag reflex or TMJ
…would like to have extensive dental work completed in one visit (like a smile makeover!)
…have sensitive gums or teeth
…have an aversion to needles
…are looking for an alternative to laughing gas (oral sedation vs laughing gas)
Please make note, if you do decide to choose this type of sedation dentistry, you will need someone to pick you up after your dental appointment and then stay with you at home for two to four hours to assist you, because of the sedative effects of the pill.
Along with oral sedation, we also offer IV sedation and laughing gas (nitrous oxide). If you’re not sure which type of sedation would be best for you, we can talk through your options in detail. Oral sedation vs. IV sedation often depends on the procedure and your level of anxiety.
