Extractions
If you need to have a tooth extracted and/or would like to find out if sedation dentistry is right for you, click here to schedule a consult.
We are able to perform extractions (including wisdom teeth extractions), with three different types of sedation options.
The common causes of tooth extractions are typically the following:
•overcrowding of teeth
•wisdom teeth extractions (which are commonplace for most teens and young adults)
•teeth that are injured beyond treatment
•placement of dentures (full dentures or partial dentures)
•broken or cracked teeth
•damage from drug abuse (most notably meth addiction)
For tooth extractions, sedation dentistry options include:
•IV sedation
•conscious sedation (also known as “oral sedation”)
•laughing gas (also known as nitrous oxide)
We do our very best to save your teeth, and a root canal can sometimes prevent extractions. If, however, we do need to extract a tooth or even multiple teeth, dental implants, bridges, and dentures are all excellent options for missing teeth.
