•prescribe painkillers, if you’re feeling discomfort and have to wait on dental treatment (because of an infection)
•discuss your options for sedation dentistry (laughing gas, oral sedation, or IV sedation)
•recommend dental treatment
•begin gentle dental treatment as soon as possible to correct the condition(s) that are causing pain
