Dental Insurance – In Network Or Out
We welcome new patients – Please click here to schedule a dental consultation.
If you’re fortunate enough to have dental insurance, your plan may or may not include a listing of dentists who are “in network.” Typically, PPO dental plans are the type of insurance coverage that have in network dentists and dental offices.
In network means that the listed dentist or dental office has agreed to accept the reimbursement rates and coverage of the dental insurance plan. For example, if you’re in network for Delta Dental insurance, this means that Delta Dental has negotiated with all of its in network dental providers to charge a fixed rate for each dental treatment and procedure.
In general, if you receive dental care from a dental office that’s in network, you will have the least amount of out-of-pocket expenses.
It’s important to make note, however, that we accept most dental insurance plans. If you have a dental insurance plan that isn’t listed above, we can check on your specific coverage for you. We can also file a “pre-determination” of benefits with your insurance company, so that you’ll know what your deductible and co-pay will be before we begin treatment.
Some of the patients in our dental practices are “out of network,” yet still choose to visit our dental offices, because we offer three types of sedation for dentistry: IV sedation, oral sedation, and laughing gas.
The cost difference between “in network” and “out of network,” depends on the procedure or treatment and can be minor – particularly when compared to the peace of mind that comes from choosing the best dentist for you!
We accept dental insurance from most PPOs. We don’t accept dental insurance from HMOs.
