Dental Insurance

We accept dental insurance from most PPOs. We don’t accept dental insurance from HMOs.

Dental insurance can be a great benefit, helping to pay for some or all of the costs of dental treatments and procedures.

Typically, the level of dental insurance benefits that you receive is primarily based on the premiums that you and/or your employer pay.

Most dental insurance plans will cover most or possibly all of the costs for preventive dental treatments and services, including: exams, X-rays, and cleanings.

On more expensive dental procedures, such as dental implants, crowns and bridges, and root canals, most dental insurance companies will pay a percentage of the cost.

If you have a dental insurance plan that is a PPO (preferred provider organization), you’ll typically pay less for your dental treatments if you choose to visit an in network dentist. Sometimes that savings is significant, other times it can be minimal.

Whatever type of dental insurance plan you have, we will be happy to help you determine how much the insurance company will cover and how much you’ll owe. We can look over your insurance benefits, call your insurance company, and even submit a pre-determination of benefits before we begin your treatment.

In terms of filing dental insurance claims, we’ll be happy to do that for you, and wait for payment from your dental insurance company. We ask that you pay your deductible and co-payment at the time of your dental appointment.

We will work with you to get the most from your dental insurance benefits and plan, whether you’re in network for an insurance plan or out of network, at the beginning of your calendar year or nearing the end.
