How To Change Dentists

JANUARY SEDATION SPECIAL: Call (303) 323-8149 for more information on this free sedation special for new patients.  Some restrictions apply, so please contact us for details.

Changing to a new dentist is easier today than you would think! No matter what the reason for switching dentists or dental offices, the process is simpler than you may realize and we will be here to help you.

Come In For A Free Dental Consultation
You can start the process of changing dentists by scheduling a free consultation with one of our dentists, Dr. O’Leary or Dr. Peppler. In this consultation, we can talk about your dental health history, your concerns, and your goals and desires. If you’re interested in sedation dentistry, we can also go over your options and talk about which type of sedation may be best for you. Our free dental consultation includes an X-ray. You can also skip the consultation and simply schedule an appointment for a cleaning and exam, if you’d prefer.  It’s important to us that we’re the best dentist for you.

Check Your Dental Insurance Benefits
When moving forward on your decision to switch to our office, we can have our insurance coordinator check into the benefits on your dental insurance plan. We’re a network provider for Delta Dental, Assurant, United Concordia, and Aetna. In addition, we can accept most types of dental insurance, and with a lot of these plans, the amount you’ll pay out of pocket (for co-pays) will be similar to what you would have paid to visit a dental office within the plan. By having one of our insurance coordinators check your benefits ahead of time, you’ll avoid surprises down the line.

Request Your Dental Records
Once you make the decision to come to Meadows Dental, you can contact your previous dentist and ask for your records and/or X-rays. Typically, they’ll ask you to sign a release, and then they’ll e-mail or mail your dental records directly over to us. Depending on the circumstances, you might also want to or need to pick up your records from your old office, which is also an option. Whichever route you decide to take, though, it’s important to know that your dental records belong to you, and you shouldn’t feel at all shy about asking for them.

Get Off To A Fresh Start
On the other hand, if you’d prefer not to contact your previous dentist, no worries. We can take updated X-rays, gather information about your dental health history, and get you off to a fresh start.

If you’d like to schedule your free dental consultation, get insurance coverage questions answered, or ask about other types of appointments, please give us a call at (303) 323-8149, or e-mail
